Thank God for YouTube for giving him a virtual afterlife.
Whenever I’m feeling low, watching him always picks me up and makes me laugh.
Mitch was a self deprecating , vulnerable, warm and very funny guy. It’s so sad he’s not with us any more.
Watching him perform (or interviewed offstage) you never get the sense that he had an outsize ego. He just comes across as a cool guy with a gift for exposing life’s bullshit in an hilariously skewed and upbeat manner.
Like all great comics he made you see the world from a different perspective and unlike inferior comics he didn’t need to bludgeon the audience into submission.
