SPIROGYRA CONSUMPTION

English Freak Folk has an entirely different quality to the American variety – often it strays into pastoral tweeness but the eerie sounds of Comus (yesterday’s post) show that there are pockets of weirdness hidden in the archives. Today I’ve been listening to the Siyrogyra’s Bells, Boots And Shambles from the same era (early 1970s).

I worry myself sometimes that I am constantly drawn to music like this rather than Mumford and fucking Sons.
