I have to say I was sorry to see Andy Murray fail at the final hurdle in the UN open but having to beat the world one and two in successive days was really asking too much. I like Murray because he looks like an amateur player who just got good. Nadal and Federer look more stylish and elegant but almost too slick. Murray’s time will surely come.

This time Roger Federer was just too good and this shot of him in the pain of ecstasy after hitting the winning shot from today’s Guardian is just superb.
