Not exactly thrown away, but I once gave away a bunch of vinyl LPs to Oxfam in a mad fit of altruism.
I don’t think I’ve ever missed Supertramp’s Crime of the Century but I still crave most of them them!
I especially miss a copy of Slade Alive!
Nowadays you can simply download replacements but there’s something about a battered 12″ sleeve and a crackly vinyl album that brings back memories that digital never can.
