Adam and Eve (Tom Hiddleson & Tilda Swinton) must be the coolest vampires ever to haunt the big screen.

They look so perfect together – an Emo Goth and an ice maiden, black on white.

A still of them lying naked together is so faultless it looks suspiciously like it’s been photo-shopped but who cares?

As an ageless undead couple they are  resigned to living by night; wearing shades to protect their eyes from the glare of moonlight. Continue reading

PROTECT THE HUMAN

Perhaps a banal statement of the obvious that Amnesty International play a vital role in seeking to promote humanity rather than brutality throughout the world.

It is always a high risk to gain publicity by using actors, comics and rock stars but they manage to avoid the pitfalls.

I like to think that people value what they stand for not just because they have celebrity backing but because the daily news confronts you with the need for a non-politicised focus against torture, religious intolerance, sexism, racism and to seek to end the death penalty.

That said, I have to say that I love their latest publicity shots for ‘Protect The Human’ – particularly this photo of actor John Hurt who looks like a man who has seen the world and knows how to distinguish the truth from bullshit .
