I picked up this card a few years ago intending to send it to someone for a birthday or other special occasion but somehow I couldn’t bring myself to part with it.

It’s called ‘Le Penseur’ but I always think of it as The Fool on the Hill.

Not that the man looks particularly foolish – it actually looks like a good way to pass some time.

The artist is Michael Sowa of whom I know nothing other than that he is German and was born in 1945.
