What's wrong with this picture?

I’m not a royalist but there’s something wrong with this picture of Morrissey on stage in Argentina.

For a start, he’s roped his band into wearing these provocative T-shirts without donning one himself.

But the main thing that looks so sad is how forced and stagey it looks.

I wonder if he would have make the same tacky gesture at a UK gig. It looks too much as though he’s playing up to the self appointed image of eccentric big mouth to please a foreign audience.

You won’t find many Brits who would say they truly HATE William and Kate – you’d be on safer ground with Charles and Camilla.

I firmly believe the Royal Family’s only function these days is as a tourist attraction (“for tourists are money”) and sincerely hope their days are numbered but I reckon Mozza is shooting himself in the foot with this fairly pointless publicity stunt.

It saddens me to say this as I am still one of his biggest fans – in the past I’ve always agreed with his outspoken comments about vegetarianism, Thatcherism and suburbia.

I just think that these days he clearly needs someone like Sergeant Wilson of Dad’s Army by his side when he comes up with these ideas to ask in his own inimitable fashion: “Do you think that’s wise?”
